The
Dingleberries have been in existence under
various guises for over a decade. The band
performs what they claim are original songs,
largely written (so the lyrics are easy
to read) by principal vocalist and guitarist,
Frank MacLean. The Dingleberries have been
known to play songs written by other musicians,
but will still try to claim they are their
own. Obediently following MacLean's whims
are bandmates Warren Massey on drums, Scott
Bell on keyboards, Derek Robertson on guitar
and percussion, Jane Moody on cello, and
Larry Solinksi on bass. The Dingleberries
continue to perform in a ridiculously wide
variety of venues (weddings, funerals, volleyball
games, all-night benders) and hope to have
an album finished for the new millennium
(the next one).
The Dingleberries are an experienced, energetic
band, equally at home playing genre-blending
original music, or get-your-bootie-on-the-dance-floor-sing-along-at-the-top-of-your-lungs
party tunes.
